Quant Guidance Korea aims to support quantitative decision-making through fair asset valuation.

We collect market data and company filings, refine and combine them, and derive transparent, quantitative valuation results.

We deliver QGKR's technology through on-demand reports and data services, and through building client-owned systems and solution development.

02Expertise

We have technology applicable to all markets, including Korea, the US and crypto assets. Used alone or in combination, its parts provide quantitative data analysis in one pipeline from data collection to report publication.

Data collection

Collection adapters cover more than 30 data sources in Korea, the US and international markets. Every source is either available through publicly authorized access, such as official open APIs and public disclosure systems, or an individually paid data source.

Financial statements, Korea and US

Both reporting systems are read in their own statement models. Korean filings from DART: K-IFRS statements, consolidated and separate, for annual, half-year and quarterly reports. US filings to the SEC in XBRL: forms 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F and 40-F under US GAAP and IFRS, with the taxonomy element of each fact resolved and foreign-currency statements converted to USD.

Database platform

A MariaDB database holds the collected data together with much of the processing logic: stored procedures and functions, triggers and scheduled events run the processing inside the database.

Analytics inside the database

Native C and C++ functions loaded into the database compute next to the data: technical indicators and candlestick patterns, rolling statistics and rankings, trend and signal detection, option pricing (Black-Scholes), beta, portfolio evaluation, value at risk with GARCH, and regression-based prediction.

Machine learning

For data analysis in the form you need, twelve binary classification model types are available: logistic regression, naive Bayes, k-nearest neighbors, support vector machine, random forest, AdaBoost, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost and recurrent neural networks (LSTM, GRU), and others such as NGBoost and TabNet where needed, with hyperparameter optimization and GPU acceleration.

Due to the nature of machine learning, it can be applied only where sufficient data is available.

Multimedia report production

Media modules turn analysis data into finished report videos: scene layouts from our own layout editor, charts (line, pie, radar, treemap, tornado), text with translation, speech synthesis, background music, generated images, and video assembly with transitions in parallel processes.

Each report is produced as a long-form landscape and a short-form vertical video and published on a schedule to ten channels, including YouTube and TikTok. Besides video, reports are provided in various formats such as PDF, Excel (XLS), CSV, text (TXT) and HTML.

Trading automation

A multi-process order and portfolio rebalancing system connects to brokerage and crypto exchange interfaces, designed with risk analysis and possible failures considered in advance.

03Market Reports (Public Access)

Every trading day we publish the Korean market's pre-market indicators and closing summary on YouTube as long-form landscape and short-form vertical videos. A quarterly market analysis follows every quarter, and special analysis reports on individual stocks are published when needed.

We compile and provide market reports and analysis data through the QGKR engine.
